City Council Approves Plan for Food Truck Parks

Helotes, Texas March 10, 2016 – In an effort to promote additional economic development and enhance the local tax base within the Old Town Helotes Special District, the City Council added Food Truck Park and Bar Facilities as an allowable use within the District.

“City staff received inquiries from citizens requesting food trucks and food truck parks within Old Town near Floore Country Store, prompting staff to review relevant codes and rules,” stated City Administrator Rick Schroder.

This change will prompt a new era of food and entertainment options in Helotes, which is continuing to see incredible growth. “We are now actively seeking developers interested in establishing a Food Truck Park and Bar Facility in Old Town Helotes. I encourage you to reach out the City, and we will help facilitate discussions with current property owners.”
